OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The primary responsibility of your job position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, assist in providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete and communicate monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units
Managing call-ins or vacancies on the floor for all CNAs, LPNs and RNs
Report excess tardiness or absenteeism (following current attendance policy) to Director of Nursing Services
Work with Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy
Ensure all telephone orders are confirmed with a written purchase order
Assist in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipments, etc
Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, and submitted
Check invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc with incoming merchandise
Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment
Ensure various departments are properly charged with supplies they have ordered
Maintain supply and storage rooms in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
Perform all other duties, as requested
Education and Experience:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent
Must possess an active unrestricted CNA or nursing license in the state of Colorado
Must understand PPDs
Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines
