Health, Dental, Vision, and MoreOVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:Health Information Manager is responsible for all functions within the Medical Records departmentincluding assembling, storing, and safekeeping of resident medical records. The Medical recordsdepartment must be well-organized and functional at all times. This position requires a workingknowledge of federal and state regulations and the ability to adhere to company policies andprocedures. To accomplish these requirements, the incumbent will be responsible for the followingduties.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:? Manage an accurate record of daily and monthly census? Manage complete required audits, using established and defined standards:? Admission audit ? Discharge audit ? Re-admission audit? Quarterly audit ? Physician visit audit? Responsible for accurately maintaining organized charts for current residents using establishedand defined standards? Appropriately thin charts in adherence with the company’s thinning schedule? Responsible for keeping purged files well organized using the approved purge system? Perform data entry of Accident and Incident reports as required? Completes special projects as assigned? Update daily mailing and filing? Performs all other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:? The Health Information Manager will supervise any employees within the department? The Health Information Manager will work closely with physicians, therapists, consultants,hospital personnel, and nursing staff. HIM works closely with other supervisors and staff withinthe facility in relation to resident care documentationEXPERIENCE:? Two years HIM experience preferred? Two years’ supervisory experience preferredEDUCATION? Minimum of High School graduate or GEDWORK ENVIRONMENT:? Must be able to respond appropriately and quickly to emergency situations? Potentially exposed to communicable diseases? Able and willing to work more than usual hours if needed? Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent? Must be insurable by company policy? Must maintain a valid, unrestricted Colorado driver’s license? Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check.? COVID Vaccine Required or Valid Exemption.OTHER:? Proof of COVID vaccination or qualifying exemption required? This is NOT a remote position?
